Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Playz is operated by AW3 Technology, Inc. ("Playz", "we", "us"). We collect only what we need to run the service:

  • Sign-in identity. When you sign in with 1Profile (including via Google, Apple, or GitHub), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
  • Your Playz profile. Your handle, display name, bio, and any profile photo you upload.
  • Social graph. Friend requests, friendships, and players you block.
  • Activity. Challenges and pools you create or join (titles, picks, entries, results, disputes), your PZ credit balance, and your wallet ledger, including credit purchases.
  • Messages. Direct messages between friends and chat messages on challenges and pools.
  • Copilot conversations. Messages you send to Playz Copilot and its replies.
  • Device push tokens. If you enable notifications in the iOS app, an Apple push token for your device.
  • Reports. Reports you file about other players or content, and reports filed about you.
  • Basic logs. Server request logs (such as IP address, browser or app version, and timestamps) used for security and debugging.

We do not collect your phone number, date of birth, home address, or government ID. We ask you to confirm you are 18 or older but do not verify identity documents. Payment card details are entered on our payment processor's checkout page and are never sent to or stored by Playz.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate Playz: to sign you in, show your profile to other players, run and settle challenges and pools, keep your PZ balance and history, deliver messages and notifications, answer your Copilot requests, review reports and enforce our Terms, prevent abuse, and fix problems. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.

What other players can see

Signed-in players can see your handle, display name, profile photo, bio, level, and your aggregate record (such as challenges settled and win rate). Challenges and pools you mark public, and their participants, are visible to any signed-in player. Private challenges and pools are visible only to their participants. Direct messages are visible only to you and the friend you're messaging. Players you block can't see your profile.

Service providers

We share data with these processors only as needed to provide the service:

  • 1Profile for sign-in and account authentication.
  • Vercel for application hosting, storage of uploaded profile photos (Vercel Blob), and the AI Gateway that routes Copilot requests to Google Gemini models.
  • Neon for our Postgres database, where your account and activity data is stored.
  • cred.diy for payment processing for PZ credit purchases.
  • Apple Push Notification service for delivering notifications to the iOS app.

We also fetch public market data from Polymarket and Kalshi to show reference odds and settle linked challenges. We do not send them your personal information.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Beyond the processors above, we disclose information only when required by law, to protect the safety of our users or the public, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case this Policy continues to apply).

Cookies

We use a single sign-in session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings (in the app or on the web). Deletion permanently removes your profile, friendships, messages, Copilot conversations, device tokens, and history associated with your account; any remaining PZ balance is forfeited. Reports you filed are kept without your identity so we can finish reviewing them. You must settle or cancel live challenges and pools first, because other players' entries depend on them. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can edit your profile and delete your account yourself; for anything else, email us and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Children

Playz is only for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using Playz, contact us and we will delete the account.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a breach where required by law.

International users

Playz is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored there.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the date above; material changes will also be announced in the app.
